Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFor a beginner it’s about building a foundation. I believe getting comfortable with the ball and learning the basics techniques will carry you a long way.
Lesson 11+For 11+ lessons the participant should expect a bit of everything I just explained. Soccer is about having fun and mastering the craft. The more you do basic drills, the more you’ll develop.
Lesson 4-10For lessons 4-10 I would focus on drills that suit the position of the participant. I know a lot of finishing drills when it comes to strikers. I know a lot of crossing and counter attacking drills when it comes to wingers and outside backs. I also know a lot of possession drills when it comes to center midfielders and center backs.
Lesson 2-3For a second and third lesson I would teach the the different techniques to pass and shoot a soccer ball. I would do a drill called the Ajax triangle which really shows the participant how to open up their body and pass the ball correctly.
What you need to bringCleats, water, and a soccer ball if you would like to.
What I can bringI have dummies, size 5 soccer balls, cones, ladders, and resistance bands.
