Lesson 11+Moving to cone, turn and receive.
Lesson 4-10Ball control, toss, trap, kick back in the air. Left and right alternating. Toss to head, chest, knees, feet. Concentrate on ready position with knees bent and fast feet. Improving touch.
Ball handling, toe touches, pendulums, dribbling between cones. Drags, pullbacks, scissors, drag behind the foot, Cruyffs. Head up ball control/dribbling.
Scanning before receiving.
Moving into space with the ball. Moving into space without the ball.
Lesson 2-3Short passing, 20-30 yards apart. Use instep, head down, knee over the ball. Follow through. Planting foot next to the ball. Emphasis on planting foot. Trapping. Use egg catch reference. Also, cover outside of the foot if they are good at inside. Bending the ball. Trapping the ball to place it in best position for movement. Gradually get longer passing.
Youth players
Working with kidsTry to stay at their level. Keep them all engaged. More short sided passing. Play games that they relate to like Pirates and Islands or Marbles. Concentrate on very basic technique. Repeat often until they get it. Give water breaks often. Always eyes on me when explaining the exercise. Have them repeat together and individually.
