Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFor the first lesson I would set up really simple drills where I can actually see your level and what you’re good at or need to work on.
Controlling and passing with one touch and two touch from inside a box made of cones.
Dribbling through cones using both feet and different parts of your feet.
Dribbling and changing directions.
Control and shooting dribbling and shooting
Lesson 11+Juggling ( low to high ) juggle the ball below your waist then kick it into the air and repeat.
Passing(square passing) cones are set up in a square and player needs to control the ball with a directional touch and pass back to the coach at all the cones.
Dribbling( Ronaldinho drill) cones are set in randomly in space and player needs to dribble through as fast as possible with-out hitting the cones.
(Escape) cones are set up in straight line some touch with 3-4 gaps in between, the player on one side with the ball and the coach on the other side, the player needs to dribble their ball through the gap before the coach the can stand in front of it.
Shooting(Skill and finish) Do a skill and shoot at the goal.
(Volleys) shooting ball at the goal while the ball is in the air
Lesson 4-10Passing( Triangle passing) cones are set up in triangle and the player need to control, pass and then move to the next cone.
Cone dribbling ( inside outside) using the outside then the inside of one foot to push the ball slightly forward through the cones .
Ball Mastery(Push and Pull) Using the bottom of one foot push the ball out and pull the ball back to you on both sides of a cone.
Skills for 1v1 situations, (Gate game) dribble use a skill to go around cones or myself and score a goal.
longer distance passing(Finding the coach) kick the ball into direction
Juggling(drop kick) drop the ball from your hands and kick it up your using where your laces on your cleats are.
Lesson 2-3Passing(ball in hand) the ball is thrown to players feet and you pass it back to my hands in one touch.
(give and go) player passes the ball to the coach and runs forward to receive the ball immediately.
Dribbling( Gate game) cones are set up around the field in pairs of the same colors with space in between them to create a gap. When a color is called the player needs to dribble through that color of cone.
(Figure 8) Two cones are set up with a space in between player need to dribble around and through to make the number 8.
Shooting (speed shooting) player sprints from a cone and shoots and sprints back
(One time finish) player passes the ball to coach and when it’s passed back they shoot in one touch.
