The first session is focused on getting to know the player — their current skill level, comfort with the ball, and goals for improvement. We start with a fun warm-up and simple technical drills like dribbling through cones, passing against a wall, and basic ball control exercises. This helps me assess their strengths and areas to work on. We end with a short, low-pressure game-like activity to build confidence and keep it enjoyable.
These sessions build a foundation of technical skills. Players can expect focused work on:
• Ball Mastery: Dribbling with both feet, quick touches, and control under pressure.
• Passing & Receiving: First touch, short passes, and proper body positioning.
• Shooting Basics: Correct technique for striking the ball.
We keep the sessions dynamic and fun with competitive games and challenges to keep them motivated.
At this stage, we increase intensity and introduce tactical understanding:
• 1v1 Situations: How to beat a defender or defend effectively.
• Game Awareness: Scanning the field, decision-making, and positioning.
• Combination Play: Wall passes, overlaps, and small-sided games.
• Fitness & Mental Strength: Fun conditioning drills and teaching resilience, focus, and confidence.
Each session ends with a mini-game that allows players to apply what they’ve learned in a realistic scenario.
Now we work toward mastery and game impact:
• Advanced Technical Skills: First-time finishes, long passing, quick transitions.
• Tactical Growth: Understanding systems of play, positional responsibilities, and movement off the ball.
• Mental Toughness: Preparing players to perform under pressure and stay composed.
• Performance Tracking: Measuring progress with data and video feedback when possible.
The goal is to develop a complete player who is confident, skilled, and game-ready — not just in technique but also in decision-making and mindset.
