I start by assessing the player’s level of ball control, passing ability, and motor coordination, since I am not familiar with the athlete yet.
warm-up focused on coordination and agility without the ball, including movement-based and coordination exercises.
Then I progress into basic ball work, focusing on control and dribbling. This includes simple zig-zag dribbling around cones to evaluate comfort with the ball.
After that, I introduce simple passing exercises and other fundamental technical drills.
These basic activities help me understand the player’s current level more clearly.
After the first session, once I have a clear understanding of the player’s motor and technical level, I follow a structured progression in the next sessions.
I continue working on coordination without the ball, focusing on agility, balance, and movement patterns to keep developing the player’s physical foundation. After that, I progress into basic technical work with the ball, including ball control, passing, dribbling.
From the 4th to the 10th session, the player is already at a more advanced stage within the beginner level, which allows for a stronger focus on technical development.
During this phase, I continue working on coordination without the ball, focusing on agility, balance, and movement patterns, but with higher intensity and greater demand. Then I move into more detailed technical work with the ball, placing a strong emphasis on ball mastery, passing, dribbling, and control in different situations.
There is a lot of repetition and refinement of these technical fundamentals, always aiming to improve the player’s quality and consistency. At the same time, I start to introduce finishing in a progressive way, with simple shooting exercises and basic goal-oriented actions.
I also begin to include slightly more challenging tasks that go beyond just controlling, passing, and dribbling, adding variations in space, timing, and decision-making, always respecting the player’s level and development pace.
