With a playing experience of 12 years, Im a young adult that just got done playing my final club season of soccer, I want pass down what I’ve learned from playing the game I loved playing and teach it to the new generation. Coach Chase is a great coach, he is really patient, kind, and clear with his instructions .
Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI use the 1st session as a “get to where you at session”. Which basically means simple ball mastery, passing, and shooting drills
Lesson 11+From sessions 11 on, I’m a full go on what will make you the best player on the pitch. This includes advanced ball mastery drills, speed and agility training, shooting drills, and game like situations.
Lesson 4-10After the 3rd lesson, I will be know all your strengths and weaknesses and we will need to do looking forward. So for the next 7 or so sessions will be working on getting better on your weaknesses as a player while maintaining your strengths. Also around session 7 I will start implementing speed and agility training.
Lesson 2-3Sessions 2 and 3 are like the 1st session but with different drills that are a little bit more advanced
Youth players
Working with kidsWhen I’m teaching kids, I adapt by making the sessions a little bit more fun then i would my older kids. Being more patient is one of the most important things. But at the end of the day, i want the kids to go home happy and having them know that they have accomplished something when going back home.
Working with teenagersWhen working with teenagers, I adapt my sessions by focusing more on player development, whether that is working more on individual parts of the students game, or the knowing the game better as a whole.
