Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI like to get an understanding of what your child knows so we run through a few scenarios of on field experiences to gauge how to best teach.
Lesson 11+Lessons 11 and after will be tailored around your child’s needs or weak points in game play.
Lesson 4-104th through 10th lessons we will teach a more thorough in-depth lesson course on dribbling, defending, shooting, passing and goalkeeping.
Lesson 2-3Second and third lessons we will typically go over basic rules and how to’s to make sure your child understands the game.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonMy first lessons are always geared toward understanding my students knowledge and needs.
Lesson 11+Any remaining lessons should be based around specific game play my student has experienced and questions or issues that have arisen during game play
Lesson 4-10Lesson 4 through 10 should be more about honing in on strengths, weaknesses, building pitch strategy, strength training and conditioning
Lesson 2-32nd and 3rd are quick recaps of basics to make sure knowledge gained in later lesson plans has a strong base to build on.
Youth players
Working with kidsMost of my coaching has been built around consistency of field play, understanding the game, strength training and conditioning. All are very much needed to play at higher levels but patience is paramount at younger ages to engage and keep younger students motivated. I have coached u 10 ages kids for a few years now. Most of those kids/parents have requested to play on my team each year which can attest to my ability to coach younger age groups.
Working with teenagersTeenagers are typically easier to teach, so we can get to the higher level game play much quicker. Holding them accountable to what they learn each week is ideal when moving to higher levels of game play so repetition and consistency are essential.
