Beginner training plan

Your first lesson-Beginner: Never ski, can stop, turn and you ski with a wedge (pizza slice) style most times! -Never ski before: check all your equipments and learn about the basic -Boots work, Walk with ski, slide, fall/up, stop and turn. Hopefully get on the magic carpet and slide down beginner terrain!

Lesson 4-10From wedge to higher drills, it depends on your skill level and your goals.

Lesson 2-3The lesson 2-3 is based on the student progress. We may go up by using the chairlift and work on wedge ski until you are comfortable.

Advanced training plan

Your first lesson-Advance/Intermediate : can stop, turn and your skies are parallel skies style most times! -Goal setting with simple verbal and movement assessment to find cause and effect.

Working with kidsAbout 80% of my past student are 7-14 yrs. old. I have go-to lesson program based on their experiences. Most importantly, the lesson would start asking students interest and sports activities. My lesson refers those information to communicate with them effectively.

Working with teenagersAbout 80% of my past student are 7-14 yrs. old. Although I’ve a go-to lesson program based on their experiences, Teenagers communicates and act vary by the age group and different spaces. So with their goal setting at the beginning of lesson is key. Therefore, importantly, the lesson would start asking students interest, sports activities and what they want to achieve. My lesson refers those information to communicate with them effectively.

About your skiing coach

I am a Japanese guy💪, born and raised in Japan. I learned to ski from my strict!? father at first, and later started skiing with school friends and family. In 1989, I obtained my Level 2 technical ski certification from the Japanese Ski Association (SAJ). During on-season, I’m teaching at a ski resort’s ski school. I can work with you during off-season at NJ. About my past life! I came to the United States as a student, and time has flown by since then. After becoming a frequent traveler for multiple jobs at one of the largest Japanese companies, I now retired and started teaching skiing for fun! I obtained my Level 1 ski instructor certification from the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA-AASI) and have already passed my Level 2 ski exam, with my sights set on further improving my teaching skills. Phew😮‍💨, the learning 📚never ends! In addition to skiing for over 40+ years, I have a deep background in classical music 🎵and play the piano with a degree. I was also an official docent at Carnegie Hall for 10 years. Recently, I completed a Reiki healing master class and am planning to help others with it.
