Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe will first begin with some basic vocal warmups. After that, we will discuss what areas the student is looking to improve in, such as pitch accuracy, breath control, etc. We will then determine some vocal exercises and songs that address these areas.
Lesson 2-3We will continue to start with warmups each lesson. We will then work on vocal exercises that address pitch accuracy, rhythm, breath control, agility, and other areas, spending more time on areas the student needs more practice in. We will then work on a song of the student’s choosing, going section by section to improve vocal performance.
Youth players
Working with kidsI make sure to use kid-friendly language and examples when explaining singing concepts, and to choose appropriate songs.
Working with teenagersI adapt my language to connect more with teenaged students and work with teenagers to choose a lesson plan and songs to work on. As a college student, I am better able to connect with teenagers due to proximity in age.
