About your singing coach

I am 49 and have been singing my entire life! I started doing musical theater at age 9 and held the lead in many theater productions including 'Annie' 'Peter Pan,' 'Oliver,' 'Grease,' and 'Lil Abner.' I trained vocally with Claudia Payne (from Michigan) and Wendel Kinberg (from New York.) As an adult, I formed and sang in a fully choreographed live burlesque/cabaret-style show that toured venues in Detroit and at expos and events all over the US. Some of my major accomplishments include winning $10,000 singing on the Howard Stern Sirius Radio Show, being chosen as the National Anthem performer for Charlie Sheen's 'Violent Torpedo of Truth' show, performed in an all-female rock band, and wrote and performed my own original dance music. My boyfriend Billy Bannigan produces hip hop and EDM music at our home studio, where I mentor and coach the artists we record, bringing out the very best in them. Known as a 'one-take wonder' in the studio, I have always had perfect pitch plus the experience, passion and creativity to help others excel in their musical endeavors. My specialties consist of: - Broadway musical vocal coaching: I will show you how to use acting skills while singing, to keep your voice soft when necessary, but also when to release that spine tingling Broadway belt that musical lovers crave - Rock/Blues/Jazz vocal coaching: Not only will we work on pitch but also on inflections (such as throwing in some raspy growls here and there) that will make your audience get the chills - Country style vocal coaching: Country music is either fun and happy, or very heartfelt and deep. Either or, country songs are meant to tell a story. I can bring out those emotions, as well as help to perfect those high and low notes that make the story so relatable to your crowd. - Hip Hop/Rap vocal coaching: I can work with you on delivery and cadence, when to take pauses and breaths when needed, and when to add some character to your delivery so that it comes off with some true character - Children's music vocal coaching: A lot of encouragement and eye contact will bring out the fun side as they learn. I will never be strict with a child, this is all about fun and bringing them out of their shell and just letting them explore their creative side As you can see, I love music of all types, and can teach ANY genre, including Pop/Dance, Oldies, R&B, Folk music, Etc ...you name it!
