Your first tutoringFocus on building rapport,understanding the student’s current knowledge, and creating a positive learning environment. Asking students about their goals,previous experience with Chemistry, and any topics they find challenging.
Tutoring 2-3They will expect a more structured and interactive learning experience. After identifying their strengths and areas for improvement during tue first lesson, I build each lesson on that foundation.
In the second lesson, I review the previous material to reinforce understanding before introducing a new topic. I explain concepts step by step, use real life examples and provide guided practice so students can apply what they have learned with my support.Encourage them to ask questions.
By tue third lesson, students are expected to become more confident and actively participate in solving chemistry problems.
Tutoring 4-10Students can expect a steady progression from guided learning to greater independence in solving Chemistry problems. At this stage, I focus on strengthening core concepts, building problem- solving skills, and helping students connect ideas across topics.
Tutoring 11+Students are expected to transition into a more independent and mastery-focused stage of learning Chemistry. At this point, most foundational gaps have been addressed, so lessons become more targeted, analytical, and application-driven.
