About your reading and writing coach
As a college professor with over seventeen years of experience tutoring students in writing, grammar, and reading comprehension, I focus on patience, clarity, and practical strategies. I tailor each lesson to the student's pace so they feel confident and supported. With my knowledge of what is expected in college-level writing, I help students master these skills (including MLA, APA and Chicago Formats) so they enter their freshman year prepared and less stressed.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonOur first lesson will mostly be a get to know you session! I will ask the student what their goals are and what they wish to achieve through tutoring with me, then set up a goal plan for the rest of the sessions.
Lesson 2-3Based on what the student wishes to achieve, I will provide various writing exercises and lessons on grammar, rhetoric, writing styles, formatting, and perfecting the “academic Voice”.
Lesson 4-10This will vary depending on each student, but expect to have a short paper of 3 to 4 pages written by this time based on a prompt that I will provide.
Lesson 11+If the student wishes to better understand, research skills, our final lessons will be focused on writing up a work cited page, drafting a research paper and best practices for college-level research.
