About your preschool tutoring tutor
I am a school psychologist with experience supporting young learners academically, socially and emotionally. I have worked as a kindergarten teaching assistant and providing reading interventions for students in grades K-3rd. Through my work as a school psychologist, I have expertise in working with all types of learners and learning differences. I enjoy helping children strengthen early literacy and school readiness skills while fostering confidence and a positive attitude towards learning!

Beginner training plan
Your first tutoringWe will start with icebreaker and get to know you activities as well as a quick parent interview of strengths, concerns and goals. We will then do an informal assessment of letter recognition, counting and number recognition, and shape and color identification.
Tutoring 2-3We will do activities to strengthen letter recognition and letter-sound correspondence, rhyming and phonological awareness games, and storybook reading and comprehension questions. In math, we will work on counting objects to 20, number recognition, sorting and clarifying and pattern activities.
Tutoring 4-10We will continue building skills introduced in earlier lessons, and progress as appropriate. Skills will be progress monitored at the end of most sessions to track students progress.
Tutoring 11+As skills progress, an additional parent interview will be scheduled to review progress, discuss strengths and continued areas for development and share activities to continue learning at home.
