Beginner training plan
Your first classDuring the first lesson with a beginner, I usually start with the basics, movement principles. This helps me understand how your body moves and also learn what you know about your body’s ability to move.
Class 2-3Beginners can expect progression. Once you have the basics down, we start adding more complex movements to what you already know and understand.
Class 4-10From their fourth through tenth sessions, a beginner can expect faster pace in the class flow, rhythm challenging both the physical strength and mind body connection. It’s so fun!
Class 11+For the remainder of the sessions, a beginner can expect clear instructions, smooth and quick flows (sometimes slower) depending on the vibe that day and what your body needs. We will always listen to your body as it continues to lengthen, strengthen, and tone.
What you need to bringWear form-fitting workout clothes so I can see how your body is moving. Grip socks are required for reformer work. Bring water. Come a few minutes early for your first session so we can talk through your goals and any injuries or areas of concern before we start. No prior Pilates experience is needed.
What I can bringYou will need a mat and enough floor space to move freely. Any additional equipment will be discussed ahead of time based on your goals and current practice level.
