Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe will learn rules of the game and how to hit the ball. You will learn stance and positioning.
Lesson 11+From lessons 11+, you will work on consistency as we face all aspects of the game. You will be taught how to take control of the game and avoid dangerous situations. You will master all the fundamentals of pickleball.
Lesson 4-10You can expect to learn lobs, dinks, drives, and drops. You will be taught the plays of the game and how to turn from defense to offense. We will practice hands battles in these lessons, focusing on speed and comfortability with the ball. You can find discussion of atp’s and erne’s in these lessons. We will teach doubles about possession and trusting your teammate.
Lesson 2-3You will learn how to approach the ball and read the ways it moves in game. We will learn forehand and backhand techniques.
Advanced training plan
Youth players
Working with kidsMy lessons for working with kids will go at a slow approach, first working on a wall or beside the net then slowly transitioning to hitting over the net. This is a great way to get kid’s brains working and interested in the game.
Working with teenagersFor teenagers, I will make the game fun and challenge them to grow and improve. Teenagers will focus on rallying before learning the ropes of the game. This will develop love for the game as they improve.
What you need to bringIf you have your own paddle (which I recommend buying) then bring it. Make sure you wear tennis shoes and clothes you can sweat in.
What I can bringI will have three spare paddles and a ball for the lessons.
