I highly recommend Todd as a coach. He's encouraging, motivating, and skilled at teaching, breaking down techniques into step-by-step instructions. His sessions are not only productive but also incredibly fun. I started playing 4 months ago, and within only a couple of months working with him, I placed in a tournament! Whether you're a beginner or looking to improve, Todd is an excellent choice!

With just one lesson from Todd, my serve completely transformed. I added more power, more topspin, and the number of times I hit the ball into the net dropped to nearly zero. His coaching made an immediate difference in my game, and I can already see how it’s going to elevate my play going forward

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe will discuss any previous paddle/racquet experience, past injuries that may prevent full motion. While talking we will be stretching! Stretching is very important. I will observe the players while they play for a bit and make some assessments. We will discuss and practice forehead techniques. After 15-20 minutes of foreheads, we will work on backhands. I always appt the lesson with 15-20 left and allow the students to play. If they decide to continue learning we can skip playing and work more on foreheads and backhands.
Lesson 4-10After the students are comfortable with foreheads, backhands, serves and returns, we will discuss simple strategies along with an intro to dinking and third shot drops. These skills will be covered over a few weeks as they are difficult and take time to learn. Eventually, we will all play together and I will instruct while we play.
Lesson 2-3Lesson two we will focus on serves and return of serves. I like to leave some time at the end of the lesson for playing. I want to see the students progress with what they have learned.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonAreas of improvement desired by the player. What are you looking for specifically. Let’s narrow it down and get you results in a more timely manner
Lesson 2-3Lots of drilling. Repetition makes for a better player. Always playing is not always the answer! Focusing on shot making really works wonders!

What you need to bringPlease show up in court shoes. If you can take the time to learn some basic rules and how to keep score, that helps tremendously.

What I can bringI can supply paddles, balls and training tools. I am also an instructor at an indoor facility called Pickle in the Middle. We will never get rained out or have to deal with wind.
