How it works

Beginner training plan

Your first lessonIf you are a COMPLETE beginner - we will learn how to hold the paddle, how to hit the ball, the rules of the game and how to keep score.

Lesson 11+Anticipation, pattern recognition, smart decisions all come with time and practice. This is that time. Fine tuning the 8 pickleball skills and 5 phases of the game with a heavy emphasis on proper footwork.

Lesson 4-10Building muscle memory and good habits on the court. Strategy to attack teams in game play. A foundation built on defense and the slow game (kitchen game).

Lesson 2-3When to hit hard v soft. How to be a good partner. Working on a backhand.

Advanced training plan

Your first lesson75 min of my pickleball workout where we poke and prod your strengths and weaknesses while getting a beneficial drill session. (Talk about how to perform and how to be a good partner in tournaments.)

Lesson 11+Working on raising your skill floor with consistency. Finding marginal weaknesses and attacking / exploiting them. Getting in mutiple different higher level partners to come give the same situations different looks. Record / film / analyze your self / game, and how to break down opponents.

Lesson 4-10Working on the gritty situations. The midcourt game will be worked on consistently. Getting attacked at the kitchen / anticipating attacking. Defense and footwork are still a high emphasis here. Some higher level attacking and patterns strategy inplemented.

Lesson 2-3Slowing down / breaking down / analyzing weaknesses. You are only as good as your biggest weakness. HEAVY emphasis on footwork.

Youth players

Working with kidsI have ran multiple youth programs, summer camps, spring break camps, weekly classes. I can teach as young as 5/6 year olds and am comfortable with large groups. Typically these lessons are more about having fun and learning proper fundamentals than actual game play.

Working with teenagersDepending on the age, group size, skill level, we come up with fun engaging games that will emphasize textbook pickleball. (Pickleball with good habits.) I will focus heavily on feet and paddle positioning so that scale memory starts to set it. In a private setting some teenagers are treated like high level athletes depending on where the individual is at / capable of performing.

If you need to cancel your lesson, no worries! You can get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of making your booking. We want to make the process as hassle-free as possible for you.

And if you simply want to reschedule your lesson, change the date and time, or adjust the number of students joining, we've got you covered there too. You can easily make these changes within 24 hours of booking, and up to 72 hours before your lesson starts.
