Beginner training plan
Your first lessonIntroduce the fundamental rules, strokes, footwork, and court awareness in Pickleball in a fun, low-pressure environment.
Lesson 11+5. Mini-Games & Controlled Play (15 minutes)
Objectives: Apply learned skills in a simple, game-like setting.
• 4 players on court, 2 others rotate in every few points.
• Coach controls serve and gives reminders.
• Focus: serve, return, 3rd shot (soft), and dinking rally.
Lesson 4-103. Basic Skills Practice (35 minutes)
🟢 A. Forehand & Backhand Groundstrokes (10 min)
• Coach demo + cues: paddle face angle, swing through the ball.
• Drill: Partner rally over net, keeping ball in play.
🟢 B. Dinking in the Kitchen (10 min)
• Coach demo: short, soft shots into the kitchen area.
• Drill: Partner dink rally at the net, aim for control, not power.
🟢 C. Serving & Return of Serve (15 min)
