After nearly my entire life dedicated to tennis, I transitioned to pickleball six years ago and haven't looked back. I happened to be playing pickleball at an outside park and Bob was on the court next to me giving instruction. Unbeknownst to me, he was also watching me play and I was making so many unforced errors. When he was done with his lesson, he came over to my court and stood next to me and explained how I should be holding my paddle and the positioning of my feet in anticipation of my opponent's shot. It made such a huge difference that I work with him once a week now and my game has gotten so incredibly better!

Thank you so much Bob for helping me get rid of my shanks! I struggled for months not being able to land my serve. Bob watched me serve and made two quick fixes that solved everything! It was the positioning of my feet and the angle of my paddle when making contact with the ball. I also now remember to keep my head down and watch the ball make contact with my paddle before lifting my head and moving. He is the absolute best!!!!

I asked Bob to help me get more conditioned so I can survive a longer/intense match and boy did he ever. He is incredibly fit himself and he has helped me not get so gassed during a match by doing endless drills, stances, using my arm and not my shoulder when hitting with my paddle and being able to avoid being fatigued midway through a match. He is not only a good pickleball coach, but a trainer!

I wanted to work with Bob because he has been a college professor for over twenty years - this helps soooooo much when he is teaching pickleball as us "seniors" have a tendancy to forget things unless we are told them four different times. lol. He is patient, understanding, competitive and truly wants to see the students he is teaching on the pickleball courts be the best they can be

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe will learn the basics of pickleball - where to stand, how to hold your paddle, how you should be hitting the ball, etc.
Lesson 11+You will learn how to play at an elite level with finesse shots, game strategy, hard drives, ATPs and other pickleball fun!
Lesson 4-10You will learn how to serve, return a serve, third shop drop, game tempo and volleys.
Lesson 2-3We will focus on the non-volley zone, also known as the “kitchen” and discuss game scoring.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonObserve the player play pickleball and provide general advice on how to become better.
Lesson 11+Play a game with other advanced players to perfect game strategy, master shots, learn mental toughness and dominate the court.
Lesson 4-10Mastering all areas of pickleball play with drills, drills and more drills.
Lesson 2-3Work on areas that need to be perfected to be an advanced player. This includes the non-volley zone, transition zone and serving.
Youth players
Working with kidsI enjoy working with kids to help them build the foundational skills of pickleball. This includes listening to instruction, learning how to strike the ball, different types of shots, serves and general play.
Working with teenagersThe best pickleball players in the world are teenagers. This is because they have quick reflexes and are generally more agile than older players. Make your teenager a rockstar!
