Michele's journey into pickleball began in 2017, driven by her preparation for the US Transplant Games the following year. Instantly enamored with the sport, she delved deep, earning both PPR Coach and IFP Instructor certifications in 2019. As a dedicated YPP provider with USA Pickleball, Michele's joy lies in coaching enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels, fostering a love for pickleball within her community.

Michele is fabulous. She is an excellent diagnostician who can break down specific skills into bite size, consumable steps. She meets you where you are - gives you just the right amount of feedback, not to much so you didn't feel overwhelmed, and not to little so you definitely feel like you're getting your money's worth! She is always positive and will try various different teaching methods so that you successfully master the skill. You will definitely play better after working with Michele. Highly recommend!

My family wanted to learn how to play. My two girls 12 &14 were hitting the ball around in our driveway but didn’t know all of the rules of the game. I set up a group lesson with Michele and she taught my 2 girls and my husband while I watched. We learned how to hold the paddle, proper swing mechanics and the rules while doing fun drills and games. Michele gave clear instructions and demonstrations that made it easy and enjoyable.

Michele is an outstanding pickleball coach and instructor. I've taken lessons with her several times and felt the improvement immediately on the court. She is a terrific diagnostician who can help you refund your skills and technique, while meeting you where you're at. She is always encouraging, positive and constructive but doesn't overwhelm with too many refinements at once. Michele is a gem.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonHave fun learning the basic mechanics while hitting the ball at the non-volleyball zone. We will discuss scoring, safety, where to stand and the etiquette of pickleball.
Lesson 11+We will work on shot selection, moving with your partner and strategy and patterns for winning more games and rallies.
Lesson 4-10We will work on prior skills and add drives, drops, speed ups, resets and how to execute a lob.
Lesson 2-3We will review the basics from prior lessons and work on the skills for a deep serve and deep return, and the shots for moving through the transition zone.
Advanced training plan
Youth players
Working with kidsI enjoy working with children and find that they respond well to the use or colorful targets and games that allow them to keep moving and working on their eye hand coordination. I have youth and juniors paddles, bean bags, foam balls, hula hoops, jump ropes and other props for keeping it fun!
Working with teenagersI find teenagers enjoy playing games where they are learning by example and repetition. I have targets and a ball machine that allows for students to develop their strokes and team work.
What you need to bringBring your smile (we will have fun) and please wear tennis/court shoes if you have them, or a pair of sneakers. Dress in layers and remember to bring plenty of water.
If your lesson is outside you may also want to bring: sunblock, sun glasses, bug spray and a hat or visor.
If you don’t own a paddle yet, I have paddles you can try and use for your lesson. I am also happy to assist you in determining what paddle is the best fit for your playing style and budget, so just ask.
What I can bringAll equipment provided: nets; paddles and balls. If you don’t own your own paddle I have over a dozen and regularly help players find the best paddle fit for their game and budget.
