About your pickleball coach

I'm Martin Grunin, a 5.0 DUPR pickleball enthusiast who has been playing for 3 years, though my passion for racquet sports began at age 8 with tennis. I competed at a Division 1 level and was ranked Top 100 nationally by age 12, traveling extensively and training at IMG Academy. By 16, I was already coaching advanced junior players and intermediate adults, an experience I thoroughly enjoyed. While pickleball has currently captured my attention, my commitment to teaching remains strong, focusing on technique and strategy to ensure my students consistently improve. Your first lessonWe will look to go through all the different shots in pickleball so I can locate the areas that need most work: - Dinking - Countering - Drops - Drives - Resets - Return - Serve
Lesson 4-10As we continue to improve the most problematic areas, we also look to work on the rest of your strokes and being incorporating actual strategy.
Lesson 2-3This is where we really target the problem areas that we highlighted from the first lesson. My goal is to fix any low banging mistakes on that stroke that can provide the quickest improvement.

What I can bringI will always bring extra paddles if you need one. I do have many brands that send me paddles to try out, and I’m more than happy to lend them out for the lesson.
