That lesson with Manny was pretty useful, especially in solidifying good habits and covering everything thoroughly. Though, I think I’ll need to keep practicing those areas to really get comfortable, but I’m feeling more confident overall. If you’re considering picking up pickleball, Manny’s approach is quite structured and calm, which helps a lot.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFocus will be on basic understanding of game, serving and returning the ball. Introduction of forehand and backhand shots. As well as basic strategy fundamentals for singles or double play.
Lesson 4-10Continued development of shot technique and placement of the ball. Development of different shots at the kitchen line. Offensive and defensive strategies for singles or doubles play.
Lesson 2-3Introduction of various shots (drives, drops and dinking). Drills focused on developing consistency for serves and returning the ball to develop rally’s.
