Transitioning from a lifetime on the tennis court to discovering the joys of pickleball in my early 50s, my husband and I got hooked! We were so captivated by the sport that we decided to build our pickleball court in 2023. As a lifelong teacher, my passion for education extends seamlessly to the Pickleball court. I believe in the transformative power of this sport to enhance lives in unspeakable ways. My coaching approach is rooted in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for those eager to delve into pickleball. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst we get a feel for the students abilities with a basic drill. We will then go through various aspects of the game (rally, dinking, serving, and playing a game) building upon each so that the beginner will have the skills to play with others with an understanding of the rules of the game.
Lesson 4-10More drills to enhance skills and confidence including dinks, volleys, blocks, drop shots, resets.
Lesson 2-3We work further with various aspects of pickleball with explanation of positioning and why ball mis-hits may be happening. Enhance student weak spots with drills and build skills and confidence so they feel ready to join games.
