I started playing recreationally in local leagues and recreation centers in the Racine area in 2019 in preparation to be an "empty-nester." Through Covid and beyond, I got the "Pickleball bug" bad and began honing my skills through regular play. I thoroughly enjoy the game - whether it is competitive play or just a social game with friends. I have been a teacher for the past 27 years, and have many years of experience in coaching youth sports. I have introduced the game to many friends and colleagues along the way, and am confident that I can teach you the game - and more importantly - impart a passion for picking up the sport that so many people now enjoy."

Klay was an awesome coach! He went above and beyond, reaching out ahead of time to understand my goals and was very accommodating and flexible. His teaching skills were effective and while I was a beginner, I believe he would be effective at any level as he is very knowledgeable and skilled. He gave me (and my mom!) the confidence we needed to pick up the sport and run with it. You canโt go wrong with working with Klay!

Klay Shannon is the absolute best! Not only did he make learning Pickleball a blast but his positive energy and enthusiasm for the game are off the charts. Klay incorporates tremendous knowledge and competitive success in a super fun and competitive environment. Best instructor Iโve ever had!
