Kirsten aka “Ruby” is one of the most kind, encouraging and determined pickleball player/pro/coach I have ever met. I took a private lesson with Kirsten while staying at Talona Ridge RV Resort. She transformed my serve. I’m looking forward to camping there again in about 5 weeks to take another lesson. As a former tennis player, I have a lot of bad pickleball habits and form. I also enjoyed playing with her every morning while there along with several pickleball players. She was very interactive and gave us a lot of tips.
Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe will discuss everything pickleball 101, equipment, rules, lightly discuss scoring and get some of the fundamentals down!
Lesson 4-10By now you know how to serve, return dink, you’re getting more proficient and are aware of your paddle position and point of contact. Time to introduce you to a ladder league.
Lesson 2-3Each lesson we will build on the last. Never more than 2 skills per lesson.
What you need to bringPlease wear clothing comfortable to train in, hat, eye protection, sunblock, court shoes if you have them.
What I can bringI can provide a loaner paddle if needed. I will provide all training equipment to include a ball machine when appropriate.
