I like to start with a standard 10 minute warm up to get lose and hit a variety of shots. From there, I’d run 8-10 minute clinical drills on a variety of shots/patterns that happen in a typical pickleball game. We’d work on serves, return of serve, coming to net, dinking and volleys, and a variety of shots that may come up in a game!
My approach is flexible. I am open to using our time together on a variety of pickleball situation, or on just the ones that you prefer!
From about the 6-8 lesson mark, I encourage you to really dictate the direction of our lessons. Once we have 11+ already down, we can spend our time however you see fit. We can play singles or skinny singles, or really focus on the doubles strategy you hope to utilize outside of our lessons. I am mindful of lessons getting stale, so I will remain focused on innovating and including new content into our time together.
I’d like to begin to really dive into the nuances of pickleball based on how you want to approach our time together. We can take a very specific approach to instruction or a general one. As I get to know your learning style, I would tailor my drills based on what you feel is most effective!
After starting with the standard warm up, I’d like to work with you on identify areas of pickleball you’d like to focus on! It can be a general approach, or working specifically on strengths and weaknesses. My plan would be to teach skills directly in a supportive and enjoyable environment.
