Your first lessonSafety Considerations such as Eye protection , Proper Footwear, and Footwork. ie, not moving backwards on a lob, but turning to a sidestep to prevent head injury on a fall. Grip of paddle, type of paddle, basic rules of the game, including scoring. How to strike the ball . All four basic shots. Forehand ,Backhand, Dink, and Lob. How to serve the ball properly. A short game to let a new Student experience the Joy of playing Pickleball!
Lesson 11+Ask Students what area of their game needs improvement to raise level of play, then drill and work to build a better game.
Lesson 4-10. Drilling on all four basic shots, and explaining strategies to win points.Using Strategy to counteract a player’s best shots. Teaching how to spin the ball, with both topspin, and underspin. Also how to put sidespin on shots. In depth explanation to how to counter spin and using it to win points
Lesson 2-3Work on keeping serve in the service box. Drill on dinking effectively. Drill on both
forhands and backhands. How to play in the wind. How to use Strategy to win points. Basic understanding of spinning the ball and how to counter spin. How and when to use a lob to turn defense into offense.strength. How to use your serve to move quickly to the kitchen line.
