Katherine Taylor is the real deal. I took 6 lessons from another instructor but I learned more in my first lesson with Katherine than the first 6 with someone else. I got constructive & repetitive instruction from her the whole 2 hrs because I needed and appreciated it. She's fantastic. I highly recommend her.

Beginner training plan

Your first lessonFirst we will focus on building a solid foundation with proper technique and mechanics. 1. Ball-ball hand eye coordination drills Before we pick up the paddle. we will play catch with the ball. Building muscle memory for low-high motion of the ball over the net. 2. Then we will learn ball-paddle and proper technique to dink the ball over the net. Keeping it low, front and forward over the net. This will give any beginner the confidence to now pick up the paddle and dink the ball over the net. 3. Proper paddle~ grip, position, pressure

Lesson 11+Game play and strategies to win more. More drilling with ball machine and analysis of specific shots to perfect them in game settings. Live ball competition and have fun playing. Focus on game coach and play.

Lesson 4-10Focus on drilling to build solid foundation for proper game play shots including dink, volley, block, drive, serve, return of serve and lob with use of ball machine. This allows 50% more repetition and drilling of different shots to improve your game on so many levels.

Lesson 2-3Focus on proper footwork at the kitchen “NVZ” 1. Lateral Movement 2. Safety Precautions to avoid injury 3. Skills to control the paddle 4. Practicing dinking and controlling the ball

Advanced training plan

What you need to bringPlease wear comfortable court shoes and plenty of water for hydration. Don’t forget your “I can do it” attitude and have some fun!

What I can bringPreparation: paddles are not required on the first lessons. I will provide demo paddles and balls during the lesson. If you’re ready to work with ball machine, the Slinger is available for drills and repetition as well.
