Beginner training plan
Your first lessonPickleball is as much about rhythm and placement as it is about power. This 60-minute workout is designed to build a foundation of "soft hands" and consistent contact, which are the hallmarks of a strong beginner player.
Lesson 11+This third progression shifts from technical mechanics to tactical awareness. Now that the client can hit a "drop" and "reset" a hard ball, we focus on The Art of the Attack. This lesson teaches how to recognize a "put-away" opportunity without over-swinging or losing the court position established in previous lessons.
Lesson 4-10Since we have established the basics of contact and "Kitchen" play, this next progression moves from stationary mechanics to dynamic court coverage. This lesson focuses on the "Transition Zone"—the space between the baseline and the net—which is the most difficult area for beginners to masters.
Lesson 2-3Moving from the fundamentals of "making contact" to "controlling the point" requires transitioning from passive play to intentional placement. This lesson builds directly on the dinking and serving mechanics from the previous session, introducing directional control and court positioning.
