I start by assessing your current skill set through live rallying and point play. This helps identify strengths, weaknesses, and habits. From there, we’ll focus on high-level fundamentals: efficient footwork, shot selection under pressure, and consistency in advanced strokes (drives, drops, dinks, volleys).
Lessons are fully personalized to your competitive goals. This can include tournament preparation, mental toughness training, endurance/conditioning, and sharpening your ability to close out tough matches. We’ll analyze match play (including video review if possible) and build a plan so your game continues to evolve.
The emphasis shifts to competitive application. We’ll refine specialty shots like speed-ups, roll volleys, lob defense, and counterattacks. Strategy becomes the focus: stacking formations, targeting weaknesses, and adjusting mid-match. By this stage, you’ll be scrimmaging under real match conditions with tailored feedback after each game.
We’ll dive into advanced tactical patterns. Expect drills on third-shot drops vs. drives, transitioning from baseline to kitchen, and setting up points with smart shot placement. We’ll also work on doubles communication and positioning, so you can anticipate and control the flow of play at a higher level.
