Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI like to begin with an assessment of my students background, skills, and goals. From there it’s an intro to the sport by teaching dinking, punch volleys, returns, and serve, followed up with a short intro to a game and scoring
Lesson 11+At this point it is very likely that the student is no longer a beginner and we would be moving into intermediate skills.
Lesson 4-10Continuing instruction to include stroke mechanics and court strategy.
Lesson 2-3Building on the four most important shots in Pickleball and the three most important skills a player needs. The goal is to have the student confident enough that they can go to any court and be comfortable getting a game.
What you need to bringPlan on bringing a bottle of water! For safety reasons it’s preferable that you wear some type of court shoes (not running shoes). Then be ready to have FUN!
