Coaching has been my passion since I was a child, and it's a joy I've carried into my teenage years and beyond. I find immense fulfillment in teaching beginners, guiding them through the fundamentals and witnessing their growth firsthand. Recently, I've expanded my coaching endeavors by opening a boutique fitness studio while dedicating my spare time to coaching pickleball, a sport I've been deeply involved in for over 5 years. I organize monthly meet-ups for former pickleball graduates and collaborate with my local park and rec department to offer beginner lessons and clinics, spreading the love for the game in my community. Holding certifications as a PE and Health educator, as well as a Fitness Trainer, I ensure a holistic approach to coaching, prioritizing safety with certifications in first aid, CPR, and AED. Jen taught me (and a bunch of others) pickleball this fall. Had a blast! Jen was patient, caring, understanding, flexible. Did I say patient?? It's not easy to teach a group of middle-aged or slightly older people something new. So those in my class could meet and find others to play with, Jen introduced our class to other classes in a pickleball jamboree. Jen made every part of the experience fun for everyone. Nothing but the highest praise for Jen.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonGet to know the person. Find out their experience with the sport then start with the basics based on their current knowledge. Basic overview of the game. Focus is on serving and returning. The two most important parts of the game!
Lesson 11+Advanced training and physical conditioning needed to play at a higher level.
Lesson 4-10Review of lessons 1-3 and adding advanced skills, drills, and strategies.
Lesson 2-3Review serving, returning, fundamentals. Introducing more rules, strategies, and scoring. Playing actual points and coaching participants through a full game from start to finish.
Advanced training plan
Youth players
Working with kidsI've worked with kids of all ages. Each child is unique. Most children just need gentle encouragement and positivity to keep them motivated. Kids naturally love to move and I have a knack for finding ways to get kids going!
Working with teenagersTeenagers are often misunderstood and just need someone to listen to them. There are so many ways to move. I enjoy helping each individual figure out what their favorite movement or form of exercise is and helping them incorporate it into their everyday life.
What you need to bringComfortable clothes, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, a snack, sneakers that tie, a cell phone, and of course your pickleball paddle if you have one. *Any necessary medications for health conditions or allergies (bee stings)
What I can bringI will provide the pickleballs, paddles, and a pickleball net if applicable.

If you need to cancel your lesson, no worries! You can get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of making your booking. We want to make the process as hassle-free as possible for you.

And if you simply want to reschedule your lesson, change the date and time, or adjust the number of students joining, we've got you covered there too. You can easily make these changes within 24 hours of booking, and up to 72 hours before your lesson starts.
