Jan is an excellent coach!! She is extremely patient and encouraging; always spot on in terms of offering suggestions for improved technique, footwork, arm swing etc. Jan has that unique ability to explain things in very simple terms which allows me to quickly grasp and almost immediately apply them on the court.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonLesson 1 will focus on having fun, assessing your level of play, introducing basic drills and teaching you the rules of the game. We may even play a short controlled game to get you comfortable moving on the court.
Lesson 11+We always start with drills because repetition is the best way to increase your skill level. We'll work on skills and strategies you'd like to improve upon during game play.
Lesson 4-10These lessons will always be fun, but now we can focus on specific skill sets and strategies to improve your level of play while playing a game.
Lesson 2-3Every lesson will be fun and will begin with warm up with basic drills learned previously. Now we'll add new drills to increase your skills & level of play. We'll end with a controlled pickleball game to get you used to moving on the court.
Advanced training plan
Youth players
Working with kidsThe key to teaching younger students is to make the game fun and easy to understand. My teaching style caters to each students ability, creating fun games to play and easy to understand instruction, encouragement and praise.
Working with teenagersMy goal teaching teenagers is much the same as youth the only difference being more concentrated on their knowledge and understanding of the game how to improve upon their level of play.
What you need to bringJust bring yourself & paddle if you have one. If you don't have a paddle, don't worry, I have extras for use during your lesson.
What I can bringI will provide all the pickleballs and have extra paddles for use during your lesson.
