Beginner training plan
Your first lessonLessons should be challenging, but more than that, they should be fun! I want you to leave feeling accomplished and motivated.
I tailor my lessons depending on the experience, skill, and awareness of physical abilities, or limitations
But regardless let’s assess and develop a strong foundation in lesson one. Areas would include how and where to hold the paddle, foot work, court positioning. Let’s develop a strategy towards becoming proficient with dinking, overall forehand, backhand, and serving. Finally, I will give you a drill to work on between lessons, one and two. We may accomplish all of this in less than one or take your time in any of these areas to ensure competency. Feel free to ask any questions. There are no bad ones right?
Lesson 11+By now there should be a healthy confidence. One thing about Pickleball is there are always ways to improve. We will target those areas.
Also run game situations. And how you would respond strategically. Pickleball is more mental than physical. Let take a look at your game play throughout because the person with less UNFORCED ERRORS is typically the winner.
Lesson 4-10Are you you fully understanding the rules now? Know what an ATP or Ernie is? Depending on your progress not only will we continue to develop your foundation, but we will work on your smash and necessary drills. Preparing for a tournament play or just become more competitive. I will look at other students to partner with or compete against for practice. And…
Just have fun.

Lesson 2-3Any bad habits from prior play or that are developing? It’s easier to address these now than correcting a bad habit later on. In these lessons, we will continue with the foundation and by lesson three we can build on tendencies that are forming and strengths while sure showing up any difficulties. By lesson three, we should have a decent proficiency with the rules to feel confident for recreational play.. more hand, eye coordination, and wall drills are assigned.
List of help a strategy on where you could be in the short and long-term. Tournament play, league play, or just for exercise and recreation. Some people who never expected to play that competitively are surprised and ready to enter that world.
