Your first lessonEvery player is unique, and my main objective as a coach is to provide each student with maximum value to help improve their game. This can range from total body movement and positioning to refining specific techniques for individual shots.
Lesson 11+Focuses on evaluating progress, reinforcing strengths, and refining areas that need continued development. This session is used to review technical improvements, movement efficiency, consistency, and decision-making developed throughout the previous lessons.
Key components may include:
• Review of skill progression and performance trends
• Identification of strengths to continue building
• Targeted refinement of remaining technical or tactical gaps
• Game-play evaluation under realistic conditions
• Personalized recommendations for continued training, practice structure, or competitive play
This lesson provides clarity on where the student is, what has improved, and the most effective path forward—whether that includes ongoing coaching, independent practice, or advanced training.
Lesson 4-10Focus on building consistency, confidence, and real-game application. As fundamentals improve, sessions become more individualized and dynamic, integrating technique, movement, decision-making, and strategy.
Instruction during this phase may include:
• Refining shot selection and execution under different game situations
• Improving consistency through repetition with purpose
• Enhancing footwork, balance, and recovery between shots
• Developing tactical awareness, positioning, and anticipation
• Applying skills in live drills and match-play scenarios
• Adjusting techniques based on strengths, limitations, and goals
Each lesson continues to build on previous progress, ensuring steady improvement while adapting to the student’s pace, needs, and playing style. The goal is not just better shots, but smarter play, greater confidence, and long-term development.
