My son really liked his first lesson with Colby!
Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI start with discuss where you feel you are at with your game. Are you brand new? Played a few times? Just some understanding of where to start. From there we will work on some of the basics so I can assess which parts of the fundamentals need work first.
Lesson 11+There should still be significant noticeable improvement at this point. This is where technique gets refined and more advanced strategy is discussed such a shot selection and shot placement. Then once there is a more thorough understanding, drill accordingly to lock in muscle memory.
Lesson 4-10At this point the student should be seeing drastic improvement to the fundamentals. We can start to implement more specific drills that work on multiple aspects of the game at once.
Lesson 2-3Start the next couple lessons with discussions regarding anything the student noticed during their rec play if applicable. Start off each session with some basic play to get warmed up and assess areas that have improved or still need improvement.
Youth players
Working with kidsDepending on their level of interest, we can simply have fun and shoot for longer rallies or we can actually apply some of the lessons from the beginner course.
