Had my first lesson with Chuck and left excited to schedule the next. Chuck arrived early to our lesson and was waiting and ready when I arrived. Because the courts are outdoors, our originally scheduled day had to be rescheduled due to extreme wind. Chuck was understanding in accommodating the schedule change and promptly responded to my request by offering another day and time. As an instructor, I found him to be patient, insightful and supportive providing me with guidance and tips on how to improve my game. He was encouraging yet constructive in his feedback. Im looking forward to my next lesson.

I had my first hour lesson with Chuck this week. We reviewed grip, swing mechanics and basic rules. We practiced dinking, serving and basic shots. Chuck was very knowledgeable and patient. He allowed me to try several paddles and even take two to use for a week. I have already scheduled my second lesson with Chuck

I am ready for my third lesson from Chuck. He taught me several important, basic features like grip and stance and paddle readiness. We have practiced dinks, volleys and serves. He most recently taught me how and when to do a lob shot. All great things that build confidence

Today Chuck reviewed with me everything we have covered today. Grip pattern, lob, etc. today we use the ball machine to help me practice my returns check instruction is very helpful and I signed up for more lessons.

Lesson 2 in the books. I was able to practice grip in shot selection that ranged from dinging to volume to serving. As always, Chuck adjusted his instruction to my learning and play capability.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe will discuss player SAFETY, equipment, some rules along with the serve and return.
Lesson 11+Here we will focus on your game and strategy to move your game up to the next level of play.
Lesson 4-10Players should feel confident with the basics of the game and the rules. We will continue to working on the different type of shots used when and why.
Lesson 2-3Here we will revisit the serve and return, and get into Dinking… not Drinking.
Advanced training plan
Youth players
Working with kidsWe love working with children. Here we will work on the how to and focus on the fun parts of the game. This can be a family affair with siblings and parents as well.
What you need to bringOn those sunny days, a hat, sunscreen and sun glasses are encouraged. Please bring comfortable shoes. Pickleball or Tennis shoes are great. Running shoes with a high heal are not stable and may cause an ankle injury. Please stay hydrated with plenty of water. Safety glasses are highly recommended!
What I can bringI am a Selkirk Advocate and have access to the latest Selkirk Demos, Balls and own a Slinger Pickleball Machine*. My students love working with the Slinger ball machine. *No additional charge.
