I am a full-time pickleball instructor in Pittsburgh, PA. Helping others is my passion and I am incredibly lucky to get to do that through pickleball. I am here to help you take your game to the next level - whether that be through lessons, coaching, or clinics. I started teaching in July 2024 and since then have taught 350+ hours of private lessons, group lessons, and clinics. I’ve coached all levels: teaching beginner’s the basics, helping intermediates make that jump to 4.0, and have worked with 5.0+ players to help refine their game. I am currently a 5.0+ level player looking to take the next step myself. I am competing in pro qualifiers for the PPA and APP.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe start with the basics: rules of the game, how to keep score, how to hit a serve and return, how to hit some softer shots and why.
Lesson 4-10Refine the rest of the required skills to be effective in games. Spend more time with anything you may struggle with. Start adding more shots our arsenal. Begin discussing some basic strategy so we can get an idea of where we want to be on the court and why.
Lesson 2-3Spend some time refining the mechanics of our longer swings (serves, returns) and working on developing some softer shots (drops, dinks). Plus along the way understanding why we hit the shots we hit and what we are trying to accomplish.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonDetermining what your goal is for lessons. We can focus on specific skills or shots if that is your desire. If you plan on taking a few lessons, then I suggest we start from the ground up and ensure we aren’t working with any bad habits that may limit how good we can get.
Lesson 4-10Here we can begin to fine tune all of our skills. This will include adding new, high-level shots to our arsenal like resets, a backhand punch, dinking out of the air, etc.
Lesson 2-3Building on what we found out in the first lesson we will focus on core skills: mechanics of bigger swings (serves, returns drives), mechanics of softer shots (dinks, drops), and discussing some basic strategy to use these shots at any level.
What you need to bringBring some good athletic shoes, I’ll have the rest.
