For someone who didn't come from a racquet sport, Bret taught me a lot of things I can practice to get better fast. He was very accommodating when I needed to move lessons locations and was more than happy to turn it up if I asked!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson will be used to assess a player's competencies with fundamental shots, understand their goals with the sport, and as a getting to know you session!
Lesson 11+Hone in on key elements of the game and then string them together with more dynamic activities on the court! Time to crank up the sweat.
Lesson 4-10Expect targeted drills and further assessment until the consistency to hone in the fundamentals is established. Lots of paddle reps here!
Lesson 2-3This is where we dive further into immediate goals and what work and reps are needed to begin building up those aspects of the game! Learn the kinetics of shot making so that we create a solid foundation.
Advanced training plan
What you need to bringMake sure to come with solid court shoes (not running shoes!) or an option that at least offers some ankle support. Dress for the weather and remember that every mistake is an opportunity for improvement! If you're here, that means you're at least serious about learning the game and improving... so i would love to help.
What I can bringBeing a Selkirk advocate as well, I have a vast array of paddles that students may absolutely try out and play with. They might just find the perfect option for them!
