We’ll start by getting comfortable with the paddle, court, and basic rules. I’ll introduce the fundamentals, including grip, ready position, forehands, backhands, serving, and returning. We’ll use simple drills to get you hitting the ball consistently, and by the end, we’ll put those skills into a fun point-based game. The goal is to build a strong foundation while keeping your first lesson active and enjoyable.
We’ll build on the basics and start making your game feel more natural. You’ll work on consistency, volleys, dinks, serving and returning with purpose, and moving around the court correctly. We’ll also introduce the kitchen, positioning, scoring, and basic strategy. Each lesson will include drills and real-game situations so you can start feeling comfortable actually playing pickleball.
Now we’ll turn your fundamentals into a complete game. We’ll work on dinks, drops, drives, volleys, resets, serves, returns, footwork, and transitioning to the kitchen. You’ll learn when and why to use different shots instead of simply getting the ball back. We’ll use more game-based drills and match play to improve decision-making, positioning, consistency, and confidence under pressure.
At this stage, lessons become more personalized to your game and goals. We’ll identify your strengths and areas that need improvement, sharpen your technique, and develop smarter strategies for real matches. Whether you want to play confidently with friends, join open play, compete in tournaments, or continue improving your rating, we’ll build each lesson around helping you reach that next level.
