Your first lesson1. Grip & Ready Position – Learn the handshake grip and stay balanced with paddle up, ready for every shot.
2. Serve & Return Basics – Practice consistent underhand serves and controlled returns to start a rally.
3. Intro to the Kitchen – Understand the non-volley zone rule and practice soft dinks at the kitchen line
Lesson 2-3Session 2: We’ll review serving and returning, then build consistency with forehand and backhand groundstrokes. You’ll also learn how to volley at the net and improve your control with cross-court dinks. We’ll finish with short rallies to put everything together.
Session 3: We’ll start introducing movement and basic strategy. You’ll practice transitioning from the baseline to the kitchen, learn proper doubles positioning, and work on keeping the ball in play with smart shot choices. We’ll wrap up with some game play so you can start feeling comfortable in real match situations.
By the end of these sessions, you’ll be serving confidently, rallying longer, and understanding how to move and position yourself on the court.
