Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI always make sure to cover the basics with every student that I start to teach. The expectation of how far we go is based on how we actually experience the lesson together.
Lesson 2-3Depending on aptitude and attitude by the second and third lesson, the students should either be able to play two or three songs or know how to play chords and start to learn to read music.
Lesson 4-10At this time, we are determining whether someone prefers to learn by ear by sight or by touch. All these methods are important however each person has the facility and ability stronger in one of these areas most of the time.
Lesson 11+Well, learn how to play music how to connect courts together, even start to write music and improvise on music depending on the direction desired. We can also focus on technique theory and reading. Should that be the desired outcome.

What you need to bringThey need at least a keyboard and a way to connect to zoom.

What I can bringI bring the music and expertise.

My daughter has been taking lessons for 8 years. Love how the lessons have evolved to incorporate what she is learning in other arenas. Highly recommend.
Lyndon S.
Outstanding, the teacher/student relationship has been a key factor in my grand daughters learning experience and love of the piano.

Ron explains the material in a way that I can understand. I am a 50+yr old student with no musical background at all and Ron has been very patient and encouraging. He has a wide range of musical knowledge with various instruments and has answers to all the questions I have. I also appreciate that he communicates via text in a timely manner.
Kenneth K.
I had never played before but Ron was very patient in his teaching. He took his time explaining notes but kept it simple as to not confuse me.
Sheena A.
He has a great approach working with kids. He taught my son how to play a simple piano song during the first lesson.
Joe G.
I guess how a song goes together and the chord structure - never really had any formal music ed so it is very helpful.
