Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson is all about connection and curiosity. I like to get to know the student β€” their musical interests, goals, and any prior experience β€” and then explore the piano together in a low-pressure way. We'll cover basic posture, hand position, and find a simple melody they can play by the end of the lesson so they leave feeling excited and capable.
Lesson 11+By this point students have a solid foundation and we begin tailoring the journey to their individual goals β€” whether that's classical repertoire, pop songs, or preparing for recitals or exams. Lessons become more personalized and ambitious.
Lesson 4-10Students start developing real independence in both hands, expanding their note reading, and working through their first structured pieces. I introduce music theory concepts gradually alongside repertoire so everything connects. Progress becomes very visible and motivating during this stage.
Lesson 2-3In lessons 2 and 3, students begin building their foundational technique β€” proper finger placement, reading basic notes on the staff, and developing a sense of rhythm. I introduce simple exercises and short songs that reinforce what they're learning while keeping things fun and engaging.

Youth players
Working with kidsI naturally adapt my energy and language to meet kids where they are. I use games, visual aids, and short focused activities to keep attention high, and I always find ways to tie lessons to songs they already love. Encouragement and celebrating small wins is central to how I teach young learners.

Working with teenagersWith teenagers I take a more collaborative approach β€” asking what they want to learn and building lessons around their musical interests. I balance technical growth with repertoire they're genuinely excited about, which keeps motivation strong. I also connect theory to real-world music they listen to so it feels relevant.

Roan
I had some basic piano knowledge but had plateaued on my own. These lessons helped me break through that wall. The theory explanations finally made things click that I'd been confused about for years.
Daniela
I played as a kid and wanted to pick it back up as an adult. The lessons felt tailored to exactly where I was, never condescending, always encouraging. I've recommended this to two friends already.
Eduardo
I was skeptical at first because I mostly wanted to learn songs I actually listen to, not classical stuff. But my teacher worked with my taste and I've learned more in a few months than I expected. Really flexible and easy to talk to.
Monica (parent)
My daughter has been begging to learn piano for years and we're so glad we found this teacher. She comes home from every lesson excited to practice. The lessons are structured but also really fun for kids.
Lisa
I had never touched a piano before starting lessons, and I was nervous I'd be too old to learn. Within just a few lessons I was already playing simple songs. The teaching style is so encouraging and patient. I always leave feeling proud of what I accomplished.
