About your piano coach
I'm a musician and recent graduate from William Paterson University, where i studied music and graduated magna cum laude. I also earned my Associate's degree in Music with highest honors from Essex County College, and I will begin my Master's in Music Learning and Teaching at Arizona State University this fall. While I am currently building my formal teaching experience, I have extensive experience performing live professionally and working collaboratively with musicians in real world settings.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson is all about comfort, confidence, and fundamentals. I start by learning the student’s goals and experience level, then we go over basic setup, posture, and core techniques. I keep it simple and hands-on so they can start playing something real right away, even if it’s very basic. The focus is on building confidence, not pressure.
Lesson 11+Beyond the beginner stage, lessons become more personalized. We focus on the student’s goals—whether that’s playing by ear, learning specific songs, improving speed, or developing more advanced techniques. The student starts becoming independent, with the ability to learn and play on their own while still improving with guidance.
Lesson 4-10At this stage, we expand skills and start connecting everything together. Students learn more chords, transitions, strumming patterns, and basic music theory. We begin playing full simple songs and improving timing, accuracy, and confidence. The goal is to move from “just learning” to actually playing music smoothly.
Lesson 2-3In the second and third lessons, we build consistency. Students start developing muscle memory, learning foundational chords or techniques, and understanding timing and rhythm. I introduce simple exercises and easy songs so they can start recognizing progress quickly while reinforcing proper technique.
