My kids (12 and 16 y.o.) absolutely adore Melanie. Before she started teaching them, piano lessons were a struggle—they didn’t want to go, didn’t enjoy learning, and had no interest in practicing. That all changed with her.
She found a way to connect with them and sparked a new interest in piano by introducing modern songs and great classical pieces in simpler arrangements.
Her energy, the way she communicates, and how she presents material make each lesson fun and engaging. She has a natural ability to speak to students in a way that makes them want to listen, try again, and learn.

Melanie is a great piano coach and a truly wonderful person. I started taking lessons with Mel when I was a teenager because my parents wanted me to continue playing piano. I’m so happy she listened to me and let me play my favorite songs and even choose which classical pieces to learn! She also taught me important music theory, so now I can play most songs by ear. My technique has improved a lot, and I just love playing whenever I have time between university and work.
Her passion for music and genuine care for her students shine through in every lesson. She has a special talent for connecting with children, teenagers, and adults—always inspiring us to learn with enthusiasm and confidence.
Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst, we’ll assess your level and hand position, talk about your musical goals, and try a few simple exercises—maybe even start a song! 🎹😊
Lesson 11+As we keep going, we’ll take your technique to the next level and explore some fun music theory—like how songs are built, how chords work, and how to spot patterns. We’ll work on 3+ songs/pieces you love, and you’ll really feel the progress. Before you know it, you’ll be playing for your friends & family with confidence and pride! 😃
Lesson 4-10By lessons 4 to 10, you’ll start seeing real progress (especially if you practice 🎹 at home!). We’ll continue developing coordination and musical phrasing, explore more advanced exercises, and add at least 2 music pieces to your repertoire.
