Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst I ask them what they intend to do with piano, and how they got into it, then I assess their skill so I know what to start teaching them, then I can inspire them with some of my own skills, and we can jump right in and start learning!
Lesson 2-3They can expect to continue with basics and continue developing fundamental understanding of how pianos work, and how to play them.
Lesson 4-10We begin or continue more complex skills like hand and body positioning and start to practice that with copying the teacher so that we can develop muscles that automatically do the right thing!
Lesson 11+We begin understanding notation and how to really learn piano on your own and how to practice like a pro!
What you need to bringAny current books or theory notation cards or anything used to practice at the moment.
What I can bringAt private studio lessons, of course my piano will be utilized. Online lessons students must have a keyboard of sorts.
