About your piano coach

Kevin Du is a New York–based Chinese-American pianist, composer, and bandleader whose work reflects a multicultural upbringing and deep roots in both classical and jazz traditions. His music blends diverse influences with a commitment to lyricism, authenticity, and emotional depth. Kevin graduated with highest honors from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Jazz Composition and Arranging and is currently completing his Master’s at New York University, studying with leading figures in the New York jazz scene. His debut album, Somewhere, a Butterfly Sings, is set for release in May 2026. He also leads his own trio, performing original music at established venues throughout the city.

He's amazing -- i've been playing classical music my entire life, so approaching Jazz / Pop music was difficult for me to get my hands on. But throughout, he made the classes very personalized to me after understanding my strengths, and made it fun and interactive by teaching me the historical background as well.
