About your piano teacher

I have extensive experience in music education and performance, having taught at various institutions and participated in numerous productions and tours. At Windsor Village Music and Arts Academy, under Minister Kathy Taylor Brown, I taught music theory and fundamentals to students of all ages for three years, employing one-on-one instruction with educational materials and using visual tactics to enhance the learning experience. At Widner Music Studio with Rita Widner, I continued to teach music theory and fundamentals for six years, focusing on individualized instruction and engaging students with creative teaching methods. I also spent half a year teaching for Project Grad at the Houston Independent School District, where I instructed grades 2-6, accompanied the Houston Youth Symphony, and taught in the Star's after-school program for private music lessons. In musical theater, I served as the pianist for the stage production "Wild Oats" at the Alley Theater and the University of Houston School of Theatre and Dance, where I arranged vocals and music and was hired to sight-read music and scores. I was also the Music Director for Katco Production's stage plays, which featured songs from The Wiz, High School Musical, and Dream Girls, and served as the Vocal Director for these productions. My experience extends to television and recording with the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), where I provided music for the Telethon and Praise the Lord program and accompanied renowned artists such as Kathy Taylor, Micah Stampley, and Alvin Slaughter. I have also toured internationally, including a 14-city tour of Italy with Kathy Taylor and Favor, where I provided music for every show and organized the music structure, rehearsing with the singers and band. My diverse experience across teaching, theater, recording, and live performance has allowed me to cultivate a deep passion for music and share it with others in various settings.
