My passion for piano began at a young age, and after 22 years, it continues to inspire me. As a professional pianist and music educator, I bring a wealth of performance experience and a deep understanding of musical theory to every lesson. Over my 12 years of teaching, I have worked with students of all ages and skill levels, tailoring lessons to meet their unique goals and interests. Whether you're just starting out, preparing for auditions, or exploring new styles, my goal is to foster a lifelong love of music and help you develop confidence and independence as a musician.
Drawing from my background in classical, jazz, and world music, I encourage creativity while grounding students in strong technique and musical fundamentals. I also emphasize the importance of understanding scale theory and patterns, helping students become self-sufficient learners who can navigate any repertoire.
Together, we’ll unlock your musical potential in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. I look forward to meeting you and helping you on your musical journey!

Our youngest daughter started learning piano from Ms Angela when she was about 6. Six years later, she and her younger sister look forward to the regular virtual lessons with Ms Angela and continues to advance her musical skills. Ms Angela is a highly skilled, versatile musical teacher and artist, and she effortlessly finds a way to infuse her classes with fun. She formed a wonderful relationship with my daughters who seek her advice on which song to learn next and celebrate when they’ve learnt it. Ms Angela tailors her classes to keep her piano students engaged, challenged at the right level, and interested in learning music.

Angela Rey has been an incredible teacher for my neurodivergent child. Her patience, creativity, and ability to adapt lessons to fit my child’s unique learning style have made all the difference.
She balances technical instruction with fun, fostering both skill and a true love for music. Angela’s approach has not only helped my child progress significantly but has also boosted their confidence in and outside of lessons.
I couldn’t recommend Angela more highly for parents looking for a teacher who truly understands and supports every student’s individuality.

After trying several piano teachers, we landed on Ms. Angela. Ms. Angela renewed our girls’ enthusiasm for music and learning piano. They look forward to their weekly online classes and enjoyed playing in the virtual Taylor Swift recital. Yes! Although classes were online, we were pleasantly surprised that Ms. Angela found a common passion among her students, and was able to have them come together virtually to showcase their skills and favorite Taylor Swift song! Our family highly recommend taking piano lessons with Ms. Angela!

Our daughter had taken piano classes in a group setting at school for a few years. After taking a few group classes with Angela, she began asking to take private lessons and for us to buy her a piano, which we did. Ever since starting piano lessons with Angela, our daughter has found a new love for music that expands past piano - she’s also joining a local children’s chorus that Angela recommended and is loving it! Thank you for bringing music into our home, Angela!

Angela has been such a fantastic piano teacher for my daughter. She’s patient, fun, and really knows how to keep her motivated while helping them improve so much.
We’ve also hired Angela for a few gigs, and she’s just as impressive as a performer as she is a teacher—so talented and professional!
I can’t recommend Angela enough. She’s great with kids and an incredible musician all around!
