Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst I teach a student how to properly hold and use the drumstick. We start from the snare drum. Then we add the other limbs. I also introduce musical notation and how to read and count.
Lesson 2-3At this point we will begin running the first day exercises with a metronome or along with their favorite music.
Lesson 4-10At this point we will review first day material, and start adding new material. We will create a plan going forward for what the students long term goals are.
Lesson 11+Continuing the development of reading, listening, and playing.
